Description

This mystery can be presented in many ways over a period of several days.  The sequence and answer keys provided are only a suggestion of how it could be used.  You are certainly invited to change, add, or rework any of the materials provided.  There are many inference skills required and students are asked to explain many of their ideas, giving them the opportunity to respond to short answer questions as well as developing an argumentative essay.  One of the things that is built in is your ability to personalize the mystery to fit your own school and staff.  If you choose not to use your own school and staff, you can add generic, humorous, or diabolical names to the existing story based on the tone you want to create. The mystery can be used with small groups, in stations, with individual students, and as a whole class.
