What educators are saying

Chose this book last minute and out of all the novel studies I looked at, I really liked this one. It was completely what I was looking for.
I really loved the slides! The pictures and videos were great! It also was helpful for our theme essay as it provided many quotes to analyze.

    Description

The Boys in the Boat YRE is one of my favorite nonfiction books to teach high school students. My students love this true story of rowing, resilience, athleticism, and teamwork; they are shocked by the obstacles that Joe Rantz faced in his life, and they are hopeful when they learn how Joe overcame them. Although my students are familiar with Nazi Germany, they really didn't know much about the 1936 Olympics until they read this book. Students glean so much from this quick and compelling read. They love it as much as this bestseller!

This listing is for The Boys in the Boat (YRE) Google Slides, guided reading questions, vocabulary, reading quizzes, journal prompts, post-reading essay topics, and a book test. The quizzes and test come both as Google Docs and Google Forms. The auto-grading Google Forms are so easy to use with distance learning!
