The Basics of Drawing in 5 Lessons - Art Class Resources

In this series, you will find five lessons that focus on some of the basic elements of drawing. Each lesson comes with a full PowerPoint Presentation that is ready to use in class, an assignment/activity, and a rough lesson plan with a marking guide.

Lesson 1 - Basics of Sketching

Lesson 2 - Drawing 3D

Lesson 3 - Depth and Perspective

Lesson 4 - Drawing Texture

Lesson 5 - Drawing Armatures (intro to figure drawing)

Each of these lessons will take between 40-80 minutes to complete. Depending on how often you have art and the duration of your periods, these five lessons could take anywhere from a week to four weeks to complete.

This is great to use in upper elementary, junior high, and high school.
