Description
This resource helps students write an AP Lit-level® paragraph in preparation for the AP English Literature ® exam. This paragraph activity is the central assessment of AP® English Lit Unit 2 (Poetry I). This resource includes the following:
- A short slideshow explaining the required elements of an AP® English Lit paragraph (as explained in the updated AP® Lit CED)
- An activity asking students to highlight a sample paragraph for the claim, the evidence, and the explanation. This paragraph comes with an answer key.
- 6 writing prompts for AP® Lit-Level poems, each aligned to an AP® skill from Poetry I (Unit 2)
- A scoring guide for grading the paragraphs, aligned to the criteria put forth in the new AP® Lit CED
