What educators are saying

Tied in super nicely to our monthly theme of 'Houses and Homes' and our 'Aistear' which focused on homes and the 3 little pigs!
The craft activity was super fun to do with my kindergarten students. They love making a book story of the three little pigs. This activity book craft was defiantly a unique way to retell the story.

Description

This craft activity for The 3 Little Pigs Fairy Tale is "print & go"; quick, easy & super-fun -- perfect for practicing the "sequencing & retelling a story" standards.

The pig’s “nose” tells the fairy tale, as students color, cut & collate the oval pages into a little booklet, which is then stapled to the pig’s head.

I've included black & white patterns, as well as colorful ones, so that you can quickly & easily make a sample to share.

When everyone is done, have children pick a partner and take turns telling the story of “The 3 Little Pigs” to each other. We sometimes do this sort of thing with our older reading buddies.

Teacher Comment:

  • "This is a great resource and excellent value. Instructions are clear and it is easy to assemble and prepare."
  • "Great resource! Love how it is so easily differentiated."

Simply run the pig pattern off on pink construction paper or card stock. Students trim & add a few highlights with crayons.

For some 3D pop, have children bend the tips of the ears forward. The pattern already has eyes, but for added pizzazz, attach a pair of wiggle eyes with glue dots.

Teacher Comments:

  • "Adorable activity! The kids LOVED it! I used it on a day I had to be gone. The clear instructions made it perfect for a sub!"
  • "Great for my ELLs This was a perfect resource. I cannot be more pleased."
