What educators are saying

This was the perfect activity for the day before Thanksgiving Break. My students were engaged and enjoyed using their knowledge in a new way.

Description

Math FIBs (which stands for Fill In the BlankS) are a fun activity to reinforce or practice a skill. In this activity, students will practice simplifying 10 different trigonometric expressions using Pythagorean, reciprocal or quotient identities. Each correct answer is aligned with a word or phrase to complete a Fill In the Blank worksheet about the Thanksgiving trivia.

This activity provides a more engaging approach to multiple choice. It will also increase interest about the holiday. Add some candy corn and you have a party! Or use it to create an interactive bulletin board.

I hope your students enjoy this activity.

Included:
10 individual multiple choice trigonometric identity questions
a worksheet to solve the identities
a FillIntheBlank sheet with ten Thanksgiving facts
(actually only nine are facts, one is a riddle)
answer key
