Description
Add some fun to your November activities with this Thanksgiving Write the Room. This phonics resource will have your students up and moving as they learn. Included are two complete task card sets that practice short vowels, digraphs, and consonant blends. Your students will be having so much fun they won't realize they are working!
One set of cards has a missing phonics pattern (the vowel, the digraph, or the blend), and students will write the missing sound. In the second set, the whole word is missing (all words have phonics/spelling patterns typically covered in first grade at this time of year). You can even mix and match the sets!
This was created with first graders in mind, BUT it would make a great challenge activity for kindergarten or a review for second graders.
Use this as an ELA center, as task cards for individual practice, or as a scoot game.
