What educators are saying

This was a great meaningful activity to do before Thanksgiving break!!! My 7th graders needed a little guidance but overall did well!
My journalism students needed some practice with these skills, so we did this on the day before break. It was fun!

Description

These five Thanksgiving grammar worksheets designed for high school students aren’t your typical Thanksgiving grammar exercises! These are truly NO PREP, print and go, age-appropriate exercises to challenge and review your teens' grammar skills during November.

Student Experience: These grammar activities for Thanksgiving reflect a seasonally-inspired thematic concept of the page that coincides with key, standards-based grammar skills. For example, students will be asked to cook up the perfect dish by correcting subject/verb agreement. They will "pick" the right word as they visit the farmers' market. I’ve also provided beautiful clip art to add layers and interest to the pages to grab your teens’ eyes! Plus, for those fast finishers, there’s plenty for them to color and style! Extension activities are also provided on several of the sheets, and the grammar notes are included as well. Your students will want to gobble up these grammar worksheets!

Skills/Themes Included:

-Thanksgiving Dinner Leftovers (Wordiness and Redundancy)

-Pumpkin Everything (Indefinite Pronouns)

-Farmers’ Market (Connotation and Denotation)

-Spice It Up (Prepositional Phrases)

-The Perfect Dish (Subject/Verb Agreement)

Review

Other teachers who've tried my seasonal grammar worksheets shared these classroom success stories:

♥ "This was a fun activity for my SAT Prep class. The examples were great for high school - they weren't too elementary for 10th and 11th graders. They enjoyed the examples and I liked that they weren't too easy and weren't too hard - great for review and discussion."

♥ "These were so fun to use, and with so many options, I was able to use some with one level and some with another which helped since I have multiple kids taking both classes and I hate to have them do the same thing!"

♥ "Another excellent product from Team Faulkner. Great product. A true time saver."
