    Description

    This money-saving bundle includes 6 festive digital Thanksgiving Boom Card decks that provide fun ways to practice the following math and literacy skills:

    • matching uppercase and lowercase alphabet letters
    • beginning sounds / letter sounds
    • rhyming, rhymes
    • number sense
    • addition to 10
    • 2D and 3D shapes

    The interactive nature of the decks makes them engaging for young students. The fact that these Boom Cards require NO PREP makes planning & assessing easy for you.

    Students simply access the Thanksgiving Boom Card decks on the internet with a laptop, desktop, iPad, smartphone, tablet, or interactive whiteboard and complete the rhyming words digital task cards.

    The self-checking feature enables young students to work independently!

    In the Alphabet Letter Recognition deck, students drag and drop the correct missing feather to the turkey. The missing feathers vary, so they will get practice finding and matching both uppercase and lowercase letters. There are also feathers with pictures for beginning sounds / initial sounds practice.

    In the Letter Sounds, Beginning Sounds deck, students look at the uppercase and lowercase letters on each turkey and hunt for the two missing feathers which have pictures that begin with the turkey's letter. They drag and drop the feathers to the correct place on the turkey (the white area).

    In the Thanksgiving Rhyming, Rhymes deck, students drag and drop the correct rhyming feather to the turkey. Audio is included for each picture so students can hear each word and choose the one that rhymes with the picture on the turkey.

    In the Thanksgiving Math Number Sense deck, drag and drop the correct missing feather to the turkey. The missing feathers vary throughout the deck, so students get practice with:

    • recognizing and finding numbers 1-20
    • tally marks
    • ten frames
    • subitizing dots
    • place value
    • finger counting

    In the Thanksgiving Math Addition to 10 deck, students solve the addition problems by counting the feathers on each turkey and adding them together. Then, they click on the box and type the sum in the box.

    In the Thanksgiving 2D Shapes & 3D Shapes deck, students look at the shape and shape word on the turkey's feathers and then drag and drop the real-world object feathers of that shape to the turkey.

    Includes digital practice for the following 2D shapes:

    square

    rectangle

    triangle

    oval

    diamond and rhombus (a card for each)

    hexagon

    octagon

    pentagon

    What are Boom Cards?

    Boom Cards are interactive, self-checking digital task cards that require NO PREP (no printing, cutting, or laminating required)!

    They offer an easy way for teachers to assess important skills and a fun way for students to practice these skills.

    When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
    Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
    Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
    Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
