What educators are saying

This was just what I was looking for. The students worked on one shared Google Slide to write thank-you notes to their teachers. Great resource!

Description

This activity is used as an example to teach students how to design and format greeting cards in document editing software (in this scenario, Google Slides). I also teach students how to properly setup the page size for various printing sizes.

The last slide of this download includes a link to make your own editable copy in Google Slides!

I advise my students to format their cards in either:

  • 4 x 6 (or 6 x 4)
  • 5 x 7 (or 7 x 5)

This specific file is already setup to 6 x 4 inches.

My students then use these to write thank you cards to their other teachers for an end of the year project. These are also great for teachers for sending thank you notes to any other administrator or teacher around the school .

After finishing the editing in Google Slides, the students can download the slide as a PDF, .JPG or .PNG for easy printing!

You can print the images to any size of your choice (options differ depending on your printer, but most printers allow 3.5x5, 4x6, 5x7, 8x10)
