Text Structure and Parts of a Story Using Songs

Teach your students about text structure by showing them that just as novels have chapters, poems have stanzas, and articles have sections, songs are organized into verses, choruses, etc.

Also, use songs as a way to teach the parts of a story: setting, character, plot, conflict, theme, and point of view.
