What educators are saying
This is so much fun! I have this in the hallway right now. Thank you for creating easy ways we can add literacy to art!
My students had a lot of fun reading this story and then completing this activity! We used their picture and then stacked their apples up on top. They turned out so cute!
Description
This is a hands-on activity based on the book Ten Apples Up On Top. Not only are students learning to count to 10, but this lesson incorporates fine motor skills such as tracing, coloring, cutting, and gluing.
Your students can draw a picture of themselves, or glue on a real photo. They will love putting the apples “up on top” their pictures!
Both color and black and white apples are included, in addition to extra blank apples in case you want to have your students write in their own numbers. A counting worksheet is included as an extension activity as well!
Enjoy!
