What educators are saying

This was such a fun activity. The kids genuinely enjoyed making the flower clocks and it was easy to assemble on the bulletin board. Perfect for spring!!
This resource was so easy to use, not just to prep but for my students to put together and create. I love that it allowed everyone to choose a different time and it made them create the minute and hour hands themselves, reinforcing the concept that one is longer than the other. Thank you!

Description

This craftivity for telling time makes the perfect spring bulletin board! It shows an analog clock and digital time, and can be used for telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, and five minutes.

Provide students with a time or have them choose their own. They draw the minute and hour hand on the analog clock. You might also choose to have them count by 5’s around the numbers on the clock to show the minutes.

Suggestions and options for the other parts for the flower/pot:

Heart: Students can write the digital time or their name.

Leaf: Students can write the digital time, their name, or another way to say the time (for example, “quarter to 5,” “half past 6,” or “10 minutes after 8.”

These look great displayed on a bulletin board that says “Happy SpringTIME” or “It’s TIME for Spring!” 2 sets of letters for both bulletin board options are included with this resource. Just print, laminate, & cut out letters. Solid black letters can be copied on colored paper and “bubble cut” with thin color border around them, and white letters with black outline can be run on colored paper if you’d like the letters to be a color other than black.
