Learning to Tell Time Analog and Digital Clocks SMARTBoard Lesson

This SmartBoard lesson will teach the First Grade Common Core Standard: Tell time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.

Students will practice setting and reading both analog and digital clocks. The analog clocks in the first set of 48 slides have the hour hands colored red and the minute hands colored blue.

Once your students have telling time down using the colored hands, you can switch over to using the last 48 slides with all black hands. This is where you will find out if they truly understand the difference between the hour hand and the minute hand.

This lesson can be used over and over again my mixing the slides up each time you use the lesson.
