Description

I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher with a master's in reading and literacy and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development. My students regularly score higher on reading and writing tests regardless of the format of the tests. This presentation helps to highlight what a balanced literacy classroom is and how it should be arranged. It is an overview with resources found at the end. This has been used as a professional development session for new teachers. The presentation includes reading and writing elements of a balanced literacy classroom.
