Description

This product contains materials needed to incorporate music into a history lesson about the caste system. Students will listen to the song "Beverly Hills" by Weezer (lyrics provided). They will then answer four reflection questions related to the caste system.

This lesson went really well in my classes. Students enjoyed the song and had interesting insights/opinions about the reflection questions!

There is not an answer key because students came up with such different ideas about the meaning of the lyrics when applied to the caste system. I did this activity with 6th graders, but it would work well (and probably have deeper discussions) with older students as well.
