Description

This product can be used to teach high school students the art of rhetoric. It is a comprhensive guide delineating how writers use language to advance their arguments. I start by discussing euphemisms, connotative language, tone and rhetorical appeals. Then I provide an array of rhetorical strategies and countless examples of figurative language. Next, I provide three pages of logical fallacies. Finally, you will find an array of archetypes. This packet specifically targets Reading 3.4 Understanding Rhetoric in Florida's B.E.S.T Standards.
