This unit teaches students how to conduct scientific research. It includes:

-Power Point Notes

-Student fill-in version of the notes

-Grading rubric for a summative assessment of the student's presentation and paper

Notes include information on:

-Scientific methods

-How to choose an appropriate scientific research question & examples

-How to determine reliability of researched information

-Primary vs. Secondary sources

-Language of scientific writing

-2 activities to practice determining reliability of researched information

-List of careers that utilize scientific research

Notes also include a timeline of due dates for each part of the project that you can change to match the timing of your implementation.
