Teaching Math/Science with Gummy Bears (detailed plan)

This detailed lesson plan is a fun and easy way to introduce students to the combination of how science and math works together. Our 5 senses guide us to recognize familiar objects and to hypothesize what an unfamiliar item is. We often make guesses based on what we know and questions that we can answer, this is a simple way for the students to start making their own scientific investigations into objects.

This detailed plan is for ECE and ESL students. Standards are included for Science, Math and Library Media. Standards focus on grades PK, K, 1. Depending on which grade you are teaching, you can highlight only those standards.
