Description
Teachers hear "practice self-care" all the time, but it often seems like an empty statement. This fun self-care challenge provides manageable ideas so that teachers will feel that their physical, mental, and spiritual health is truly prioritized.
How it works: Provide each participant with a copy of the fall self-care challenge. Each participant can set a goal for how many self-care tasks they will complete. There are 12 to choose from, such as:
- go apple picking or to a pumpkin patch
- light a candle
- make a hearty soup or salad using seasonal ingredients
- take a walk and notice the changing leaves
There is also a blank page of leaves if participants want to choose their own self-care activities. Also included is a reflection sheet (useful if teachers are able to use this challenge for professional development credit!).
Tip: Once teachers complete the challenge, they can turn in their sheets for a raffle prize or reward of some sort.
