Teacherly Way Magazine Issue No. 2
Description
Issue No. 2 of Teacherly Way Magazine Digital Download (Fall Issue)
Teacherly Way Magazine is designed by a teacher for teachers. It is for
the teacher inside and outside of the classroom and it creates
a space to invite discussion and creativity on the teacher as a whole
self.
Teacherly Way inspires educators to reflect on the why behind their
passion, leadership, and purpose as an individual.
This issue is the fall issue focusing on finding mindfulness in the midst of it all.
In this issue I really wanted to focus on the theme of mindfulness and the idea of being mindful even in the midst of it all. The “all” may look different for each of us. Your “all” may be the fact that it’s your first year teaching and you feel like you are just barely keeping your head above the waves. If that is you, hang in there, you got this! For someone else, your “all” may be the fact that you are feeling completely overwhelmed with your work-life balance between back to school for yourself and back to school routines at home with your family. On the other hand, perhaps you have been teaching for over twenty years now and your “all” may be a feeling of stress towards new curriculum or new integration of technology.
Regardless of what your “all” may be, there is power in being mindful in the midst of everything. There is power in finding time to take a few deep breaths. There is power in being present with your friends and family. There is power in scheduling in time for yourself.
