What educators are saying

I use this resource every day to do book conferences. It is very straight forward and has made the process easier.

Description

This resource includes everything you need to get started on reading conferences with your students!

-Cover Page, with inspiring quote from Donalyn Miller

-Quick check Conference Sheet (editable PDF)

**I always like to have a page where I can make sure that I am taking the time to meet with everyone. You can easily type students name’s in this form and print to put in the front of your conference binder. Just write a quick date as you conference and make sure that you are letting anyone fall through the cracks (hey, it happens sometimes!)

-Status of the Class

Take 2 minutes at the beginning of every class to see the progress your readers are making!

-Reading Conversations Cheat Sheet

This page offers some questions to guide your one on one conference with students about their reading. Sometimes I get stuck when meeting with students, so this is a great reference to look at when your mind is blanking!

-Reader @ A Glance

I fill out the checkboxes on this page when I read their Beginning of the Year Inventories. It’s a great way to ensure that I actually READ them! More on inventories coming soon, follow my store to keep an eye out for them! Use this page to record a student’s reading goals, the number of books in each genre they have currently read, and any notes that you want to keep track of. This is a great page to look at right before a conference to refresh your memory and talking points.

-Reading Conversations Quick List

This page is great for putting on a clipboard to travel with you as you go around the room. You can write notes down about conferences and then file the notes later. Great for the busy teacher who likes to conference on the fly!

-Conference Conversations

These pages can be copied for each student’s section in your conference binder. It offers sections to record what they are currently reading, what the date is, and Now/Next points of discussion. There is another conference page if you prefer a more generic discussion box.

I love seeing how teachers implement the resources that they get from me! Tag me on Instagram {@beingmrsbrauner} so I can see them in action!
