Description

FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE

TAYLOR SWIFT: THE ERAS TOUR

Embark on the Eras Tour with Taylor Swift.

Are you as obsessed with Taylor Swift as I am? What about your students? Are they awaiting the ERAS tour?

Students will identify figurative language with lyrics order of all of her albums, then create their own lyrics with figurative language. They will match the lyrics with the correct figurative language through drag and drop cards.

Accessible on Google Slides, this resource needs no prep. Figurative language notes provided for students if they forget or if you want to teach them through the notes.

Figurative languages that are assessed:

  • simile
  • metaphor
  • personification
  • hyperbole
  • alliteration
  • oxymoron
  • imagery

I personally designed these activities based off of the needs in my own classroom.
