What educators are saying

This was great for our class. My students LOVED this activity and this resource was a great way to keep track of their thinking.

Description

This is a lab activity that is great for courses in economics (or home economics!). This lab is a food based "taste test" where you incorporate science with social studies- by having a blind taste test of three different foods (the given categories are cereal, chips and soda- but you can change this). Students will : have blind taste test, compare physical and flavor attributes, predict name brand (normal good) v. store brand (substitute good). Ties in writing and budgeting at the end of the assignment.
