Description

This resource was designed for students that need practice Reading and Writing Numbers to the 100,000s Place. I created Base Ten Blocks for Ten Thousand and Hundred Thousand to make these easier for students to understand these representations.

Your students will need a device with a QR Code Reader to check the answers. There are many free ones available and pretty much all work the same way.

Students will first write their answers on the recording sheet, then snap the code to see if they are correct.

I have also included a paper key if a device is not available.

Each representation of base ten blocks is a different color. Accordingly, each word or number in the answer is the same color, making it easier for students to make the connection.

Students will be responsible for writing numbers in WRITTEN Form, EXPANDED Form and STANDARD Form.

There are 20 Task Cards in all. The first 10 are limited to the TEN THOUSANDTH'S Place. The last 10 are extended to the ONE HUNDRED THOUSANDTH'S PLACE.

I have intentionally added zeros to numbers represented by the base ten blocks as this is where kids seem to have problems and I want them to practice this for mastery.

The numbers 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine hundreds (and 0 tens and 0 ones).
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
