Colorful tangrams – Tangram polygon game

This download is a fun way of learning how to recognize polygons by using 60 well-known tangram figures and shapes. Students should first find the polygon within the tangram figure, use a few tangram pieces to create this polygon and can as a bonus complete the whole puzzle. This adds an element of fun to the more traditional approaches where only the basic polygon shapes are used. By completing the whole puzzle students not only enjoy the assignment, but also learn about the other polygons in a tangram figure.

The pack contains workbooks and game cards showing a tangram figure with polygons within. At the bottom of each page or game card the students can see the pieces they need to form the required polygon shape. With the remaining pieces the student can complete the whole tangram puzzle. Students can either race against each other (two players) or race against time (1 player).
