This lesson is a guide in helping teens and young adults to learn about taking responsibility for their own actions. Cause and effect is covered, along with emotions and how taking responsibility for your actions is a choice. A separate section on making wise choices when it comes to responsibility for your health-with sensitive topics. Writing prompt, activity.

Health Education Standards addressed (as developed by the CDC -Center for Disease Control Healthy Schools and the Joint Committee on National Health Education Standards:) CDC Standard 8: The ability to promote and support personal, family, and community health and to use decision-making skills to guide healthy behaviors.

A list of actions that are more responsible, and a list of less responsible actions
Understanding your emotions and how you react is part of your responsibility

A separate section, to be used at the teachers discretion, on making responsible choices when it comes to teens health. This section covers sensitive topics, such as drinking and driving, smoking, sex and STD's. CDC Health Education Standard 8.
Writing activity on what you think responsibility is
