Take the Fear Out of Research Projects Mini-Unit

Just the thought of doing a research project is enough to send some students into a state of shock, (and fill teachers with dread!). End the fear with this mini-unit consisting of an easy method of organizing and writing research projects. Once I started using this method with my own students, they started doing one research project after another on their own!

• Includes templates for animal research, city or state research and research of a historical person.
• A four page story is included to kick off your research unit, and help lower that "dread factor"

• A table of contents
• An original story showing, in a fun way, how the research method works. The story is written on a 3.4 reading level and can be used for guided reading.
• Teacher directions
• Student directions
• Four sets of labels for both younger and older students for:

Animal research

Small town and city research

State research

Famous or historical person research

Please Note: The area of bibliographies is not included in this resource. If you wish to include bibliographies, an index card can be attached to the back page for students to note sources.
