Table Scraps: Holiday Pet Foods, Animal Science Assignment

A research guided activity that allows students to see the health implications on feeding their pets, dogs, table scraps at holiday dinners.

The food items discussed are:

-Alcohol

-Bread Dough

-Buttery Foods

-Chocolate

-Coffee & Caffeine

- Egg Nog

-Grapes & Raisins

-Ham

-Meat Bones

-Nuts

For each of the foods, a variety of questions is included to direct research around a common theme- symptoms, care, ingredients, etc.

The final page of the document is to create a holiday themed plate for their pet using pet friendly food items, or legitimate holiday pet foods.

Any of the pages could be left out due to time and also printed multi-paged to save on paper!
