The test will evaluate your students on their organization, focus, development and support, sentence structure, and mechanical conventions. This comprehensive essay writing bootcamp is the perfect set of lessons, activities, and practice to prepare your students for the TSI. It includes brainstorms with a t-chart, outlining, thesis writing, transition words, hooks, links, and so much more!

TSIA2 Writing Across the Curriculum

The essay component of the Texas Success Initiative test can be challenging. Students will be asked to write a persuasive / argumentative essay on a controversial issue or an issue of current interest. The test will evaluate your students on their organization, focus, development and support, sentence structure, and mechanical conventions. It takes buy-in from the students and the teachers.
