TRC practice Questions- Student Handout

This handout gives students easy to choose options for written reading comprehension responses. Great TRC prep!!!
Students choose fiction or nonfiction based on what they are reading during their independent reading, and decide if they want to write about characters, the problem, sequence, main idea, author's purpose, etc. (5 fiction and 5 nonfiction categories= 10 in all)
For each category students choose between a level 1,2, and 3 question. 1 correlates to 1-2 grade, 2 correlates to late 2nd-3rd grade, and 3 correlates to 4-5 grade mClass reading levels. Teachers can even highlight or guide students in highlighting all of the 1s, 2s, or 3s to make choosing even easier. This same handout can be used all year as students grow and move up levels.
