Description

UPDATED 2023-12-15

Back in 1962 biologist Wright, Bruce S. in his book "Wildlife Sketches - Near and Far" wrote about the Giant Sea Mink of Fundy. He really believed the Giant Sea Mink still existed on Campobello Island and the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay. This Resource File covers some of the information on this species in that area.

A mounted specimen photo was presumed to be the "Campobello" mount. The caption reads: The sea mink - one of the few mounted specimens in the world.
