THE BRASS FAMILY Powerpoint/ Prezi Presentation w/ links and videos

This is a 15 slide powerpoint and prezi on the brass family. Included are slides explaining sound production, history, and information on the trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, mellophone, alto horn, trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, tuba and sousaphone. Also included are two pages of youtube videos on various brass instrument performances that I show in class. I like the Mnozil Brass, Trombone Shorty etc. but you could easily substitute your own. I also have a page of "how its made" segments from Discovery Channel for the various instruments. I don't think you would ever want to show all of them but they are there and you can show what you like or a few minutes of each, or use them for a sub plan or reward day. I do cover "all" the brass and not just the basics, but you may want to delete or skip the less common instruments like mellophone and flugelhorn, especially if you want a quicker lesson. There are hyperlinks that link to wikipedia pages for the various instruments or terms, as well as some audio files.
