TESLA Video Quiz - Answer Q's during video, or using Script - STEM
- Word Document File
Description
American Experience: Tesla 53 minutes.
Version/Option 1: Show video. Students answer the Multiple Choice questions whilst watching. 32 questions, 3 pages.
Version/Option 2: I've provided the entire script (closed captions), word for word. The same 32 questions as above are embedded. Questions are directly after the paragraphs they come from. Consider a classroom set, bc it's 15 pages total. But good for ISS or students who were absent. Students could be given both sets - the script to read, but marking the answers on the standard 3 page sheet. READING COMPREHENSION!!
Version 3: DIFFERENTIATION!! Give struggling or SWD or ELL students the Script to hold DURING the video in class. They may not be able to follow along and read every word, but it may help. Also, if they need to skip one, they can go back and read the paragraph later.
This is great as a 2-day activity. FULL DISCLOSURE: A little over halfway through the movie, someone gets shocked and says, "It hurts like hell!" This comes after the end of page 2 of the 3 pages of questions. It is clearly marked in HUGE HIGHLIGHTED letters in your version of the script. I always just stop a couple minutes before this. I restart the video the next day after this point.
