This is another old card game I have converted for educational purposes. This time it targets place value, specifically tenths and hundredths when decimals are first introduced. It is an easy way to ensure mastery with two sets of 71 cards with nine WAR cards in each set. This is a critical step before operations.
You can use the sets for intervention, sequencing the cards from lowest to highest before playing the game. Start with the easy set first.
The curriculum reference for Australian teachers is ACMNA079; however, the game suits all classrooms at this stage of learning.
