If you have dinosaur lovers in your classroom, this freebie is for you! Get your primary students excited to dig into nonfiction texts with this FREE Tyrannosaurus Rex nonfiction passage!

This freebie is a SAMPLE of my Dinosaur Nonfiction 10 passage set!

Tyrannosaurus Rex is written at three different levels, appropriate for kindergarten, first, and second grade students. There are three comprehension questions that accompany the passage. Students will practice determining the main idea and referring back to the passage for text evidence.

This freebie can be used in a variety of ways including but not limited to: guided reading groups, skills based groups, morning work/bell work, homework, group work, independent practice, and more! You may also choose to model close reading strategies for students and allow them to practice marking up the text and answering the comprehension questions.
