What educators are saying

Just used this last week! I love it. I do have to explain to kids how much a nickel is worth... ACK! :-)
My students loved using this resource for test review! Word problems are hard but getting up and out of our seats (hallway practice is the best) makes it that much more engaging. Will be using over and over again.

Description

Systems of Equations Word Problems: Scavenger Hunt

Students will practice solving systems of equations word problems through this scavenger hunt activity. Just print and the 10 problems and scatter them around the room. Distribute the recording worksheet to each student, put them in groups of 2-3, and assign them a place to start. They read the word problem, set up a system of equations, then solve. The answer they get will lead them to the next problem.

Please read the preview and look at the sample images to see the type of questions included.

This activity works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 1 Systems of Equations and Inequalities Unit.
