Syllabus-Test of English for International Communications (TOEIC) Test Prep

Course Description:

More and more multinational organizations are using Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) to determine who can communicate effectively in the international workplace. In 2005, the current format of the exam has been used to determine effective communications. Effective May 2016, the format will be adjusted to fit the ever changing way that communication is delivered in today's global market. The focus of this course will be a balance of the current and future formats and will be extremely useful for new students as well as students who have previously taken this class.

This program is designed specifically to focus on the listening, speaking, vocabulary, and structure you need for success on the TOEIC exam as well as in the international workplace.

At the conclusion of this course, each student will be able to:

 Listening: Students will become familiar with the types of questions used on the test and gain strategies for choosing the correct answer.

 Reading: Students will learn to anticipate the kinds of reading problems that can be found on the TOEIC, study extra vocabulary, and practice strategies like skimming and scanning that will improve your timing.
