Switcheroo! Fun, Engaging Valentine's Day themed game to practice reading 2 syllable words!
- 300 different word cards
- 4 different syllable patterns: closed-closed, closed-vce, closed-cle, and closed-r controlled
- TONS of decoding practice for each turn!
Word cards are shuffled and placed in 4 face-up decks. Students pick a syllable pattern card and must read any face-up cards following that pattern in each of the 4 decks ***continuing to read until none of the face-up cards follow that pattern***! Motivation is high because the winner is the one with the most cards at the end of the game! Excitement and anticipation built into the game via SWITCHEROO cards; if a player gets a switcheroo card instead of a syllable pattern card, then they must switch cards with the player on their right. No one knows who is going to win the game until the very end!
