Susan B Anthony Lists of Activities:

You are sure to teach a rigorous, engaging, aligned lesson with these standards based activities and resources teaching women's history focused on Susan B. Anthony:

1. Four leveled biographies of Susan B. Anthony: End of year 4th grade, End of year 3rd grade, End of year 2nd grade, Beginning of year 2nd grade. The biography includes includes demographic information, the associations she created, her work with women's suffrage, her work with ending slavery, her arrest, and the coin honoring her. Lesson plans use close reading to dive back into the text for different purposes.

2. Timeline of Susan B. Anthony in a cute, eye-catching format that is sure to engage.

3. Eleven editable pages. Simply add in a text box, and start typing.

4. Standards based question sheet that will create critical thinking.

5. Two foldable books, one created for student choice, and another with questions included.

6. KWL chart to assess current knowledge, engage, and assess learning.

7. Bookmark with an empty timeline on it.

8. Rigorous two question writing prompt with two lined pages for writing.

The activities are most aligned to 3rd and 4th grade social studies and reading. Two of the biographies are leveled to second grade, but the activities are at a 3rd and 4th grade level when questioning and grammar are involved.

All 5 lessons are aligned to teach a close reading experience where students dive back into the text to learn reading comprehension skills, writing skills, text evidence skills, and grammar skills all while learning social studies content about Women's History.
