Surface & Groundwater Bundle - Flipchart, Guided Notes, Activities, BINGO, Quiz

FLIPCHART PRESENTATION - The bundle contains a 101-slide presentation that explores the groundwater zones. This was designed for 6-7th grade, but I think it can appropriately be used in 4th through 10th depending on your standards. More specifically, the following concepts are discussed: the importance of water to humans, a few statistics regarding Earth's water, groundwater zones (aeration, saturation, water table, aquifers, etc.), purification as it passes through the soil, and watersheds/drainage basins. Some of the slides contain information, nearly all contain images related to the vocabulary terms, there are several relevant video files mixed throughout, links to interactives online, as well as a few review questions or turn-and-talk slides with images to check for understanding.

GUIDED NOTES (FILL-IN-THE-BLANK FORMAT) - The bundle contains a guided note sheet as a free download which is designed to take three days. The handout also contains extra, reflection activities.

GUIDED HIGHLIGHTED READING ASSIGNMENT - The GHR passage reiterates key concepts and challenges students to slow-down and focus on the text. GHRs reinforce critical concepts and vocabulary, build reading comprehension and stamina, develop context clues skills, and also expand their language and fluency skills.  GHRs are especially helpful for struggling readers and ESOL students. Easily printed as handouts.

CROSSWORD AND DIAGRAM ACTIVITY

QUIZ - 26 question benchmark that reviews the key concepts in this standard. This quiz is also available to be used in Socrative if you are in a personalized learning or one-to-one setting.
