What educators are saying

I gave my students two 90 minute blocks to complete this and they did a great job with it. It really helped them understand how a Supreme Court case makes its way through the system and is ultimately decided.

Description

Three projects that have students research Supreme Court Cases. I have typically used it for my Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Unit so I have included a list of the Court Cases that I have my students pick from as well.

2. Court Case Powerpoint Project Direction Sheet for students

3. Court Case Powerpoint Rubric with my grading system & a blank copy

4. Court Case Brochure Project Direction Sheet for students

5. Court Case Brochure Rubric with my grading system & a blank copy

6. Court Case Infographic Project Direction Sheet for Students

7. Court Case Infographic Rubric with my grading system & a blank copy

8. List of Supreme Court Cases I use to cover Civil Liberties & Civil Rights**

9. Court Case Note Sheet – You will want to make copies of this for each case that students will be looking at.

10. Example pictures of my own student’s projects to give you an idea of what these projects should look like completed.

11. Links to additional resources for student and teacher use.

** Please make sure you are comfortable with the material presented in these court cases before using them with your students. Some cases may deal with controversial topics.
