Description

Try out this free Terry Fox and community helpers activity in your classroom!
Start by examining the qualities and characteristics of someone who is considered a hero. Then compare real life heroes and fictional superheroes found in books, cartoons and movies. Finally, discuss how Terry Fox is a true Canadian hero based on what he did during his Marathon of Hope. Follow up with this individual sorting activity, available in both French and English. When your school plans their Terry Fox run, use the "I'm running for..." sheets.
