Super Plickers

These supercharged Plickers cards will help you check in with your student in a paperless, but low tech way!

Have you usedPlickers? Plickers is a simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data from their students without the need for student devices.  Each student is given a card with a unique visual code. The code has 4 sides, each lettered A, B, C, and D. The student holds the card so that the letter they choose to answer the question with is at the top of their card. The plain cards are available to print out from the teacher portal on the website, but let’s take this a step further by adding more graphics to the original card. You can even use them without using the app for informal., at-a-glance check-ins! 

Ideas for Use:

Pre-assessment: post question at beginning of lesson to guide instruction.

Emoji Mood Meter: use as an SEL Check-in 

Standards-Based Assessment: use colors, numbers, and phrases to self-assess. 

Survey: post a survey question and choices A, B, C, D and instantly post the results. 

Exit Slip: students can indicate their understanding of the lesson taught

Magnet: add a magnet on the back to use on the whiteboard or stick on desk
