What educators are saying

I've always done the growing, but came across this and loved the idea of using the pot! It takes it up a level and makes it so fun! Thank you!
My students loved this resource! They were enjoyed working on the activity and had a lot of fun. There was not a lot of planning time needed to get this going so that was a definite plus! It was a great addition to supplement my Science curriculum.

Description

This adorable frame makes your window baggie plant look like a see-through pot!

Instructions: Buy a bag a of large sunflower seeds (I usually buy the mammoth seeds on Amazon). Soak 3-4 cotton balls with water and drop in 3-5 seeds. Seal the sandwich-sized ziplock bag closed. Tape in the window where they will get sun. You'll notice them starting to sprout within a week. I let them grow in the window for 2-3 weeks without adding water or opening the bag. At that point I usually send them home to families.

You will be surprised how quickly (and large) these will grow! This is always a class favorite and a great take-home for families to enjoy!
