Description

SUN & MOON WEBQUEST

SUBJECT: SCIENCE

GRADES: 6-12

DISTANCE LEARNING: YES

This purchase is for a Sun and Moon Informational Webquest. Students will learn about layers of the sun, types of sun storms, history of the moon, moon phases, and more.

SUN WEBQUEST: The front side of the webquest uses one specific website (link provided) for students to find answers for all of the questions. They will then do an image search to complete a diagram of the sun's layers and storms.

MOON WEBQUEST: The back side of the webquest uses one specific website (link provided) for students to find answers for all of the questions to specific facts about the moon and moon phases.

Example questions / webquest tasks:

1) What type of star is the sun and how old is it?

2) Precisely how long does it take the moon to orbit the Earth?

3) Match each picture to the correct phase of the moon.

4) Identify three storms that take place on the sun.

The 20+ questions will help students learn a variety of facts and information about both the sun and the moon and will help guide future lessons and projects and it also works great as a homework assignment or extra credit. Great to use with tablets or phones and ideal for distance learning opportunities.

DOC & PDF Versions! The worksheet is given as a MS-Word document (DOC) which will allow easy modifying to fit your class. It is also provided as a PDF for ease of use/printing. Answer key is not included.
