Description

This is a no-prep writing activity that students can complete independently. This product gives students the opportunity to write about what they want to do over summer break. It includes a graphic organizer and self-check list for students to scaffold writing their essay. This product is perfect for the upper-elementary grade. This is a student-centered activity that allows students to practice their essay writing skills.

How to Use this Product:

This product can be posted on your google classroom or emailed to your students. They can download their own copy to complete as an assignment. If you want to send individual copies to each student on google classroom, you upload it as an assignment, select the bubble that says send a copy to each student, and you will be able to see that they have completed the slides.

When purchasing, you will receive a google slides version. The product has editable text boxes for your students to write into.

It can also be downloaded as a PDF version if desired. If you would like to download as a PDF version, click file in the top right corner, and scroll down to download then select PDF version.

This Product Slides Includes:

  • Title Page
  • Two brainstorming templates (Make a list of what you love about summer / Make a list of what you want to do over summer break)
  • Directions (Black and white version and edible version at the end of the slides)
  • Graphic Organizer (Pre-filled example and blank for students to complete)
  • Title Page for students to put name and date
  • 2 digital versions of writing template (One with image and one without, you can delete the one you do not want students to use)
  • Essay Checklist (Colored and Black and white version)
  • Rubric, Graded on a 0-3 scale (Colored, Black and white version, and an Editable version at the end of slides if you want to change)
  • There is a colored and black and white version for each slide

More About This Product:

•I included a color version with text boxes for students to write into for distance learning.

•I also included a black and white version so students can print it out. You can also use the black and white version next year for your classroom.

•At the end of the slides, I included an editable directions page and rubric. You can edit the amount of sentences you want students to write or change the rubric to your preferences.

•The slides include: two brainstorming templates, a graphic organizer to plan out ideas, a cover page, and different templates for writing. The templates include blank, one with lines and an area to draw a picture, and just with lines.
