Description
Need something to send home over the summer with your 4th and 5th grade students?
This resource is perfect to send home with your 4th or 5th grade students to ensure that they don’t forget the reading skills you taught them over the year.
This resource includes two months' worth of reading tasks written in a four-week calendar format (there are no specific dates so you can use it from year to year). The first four weeks are for a fiction book, and the second four weeks are for a nonfiction book. Each day of the week (Monday through Friday only) has a specific task for the students to complete with their weekly reading. Some of the tasks, such as summarizing and finding unknown words, repeat themselves through the course of the four weeks.
All they need to complete this review are two books: one fiction and one nonfiction. I have also included a response booklet for the students to record their responses, if you wish. If you print the response booklet pages, one copy is enough for two students. Simply copy the pages, stack them, cut down the middle, and staple the two booklets.
