What educators are saying

Hands down, one of my FAVORITE early childhood resources. These handouts are so helpful for parents to know how to facilitate speech and language skills across common activities.
These are perfect to send home at the end of the school year! I was scrambling to put together summer packets and these handouts were perfect to add to them.

Description

It's back! A summer packet for preschoolers. This version 2 of the summer learning through play packets is a no-prep set of handouts for parents of young children. Young children learn through play and these handouts focus on showing parents a few easy ways to target communication while doing normal summer activities.

Included:
1 Summer Intro Letter
10 Learning through Play Activity Sheets

Ice Cream
Making Cards (Father’s Day)
Grilling
Baseball
Sandbox
Sprinkler
Camping
S’mores
Garden
Water balloon fight

Each of the 10 included Learning Through Play handouts features a different summer activity. An intro letter encourages parents to use every day play to facilitate communication skills. Each page features one language idea, one speech idea, a target vocab list, and a concept to focus on.

Take it easy on yourself with those no-prep summer packet for preschool (and Kindergarten too) aged students. I don't send anything else home with my students. At the bottom of the intro letter I just add a blurb to remind parents of the current goals. As simple as 'Keep practicing your s-blends and categories this summer!'
