Do your articulation students enjoy looking for hidden pictures? Students will search for hidden pictures in sound loaded summer scenes as they practice their speech and language skills. Your students can practice articulation, vocabulary, prepositions, answering questions, or grammar skills with this summer themed "print and go" resource. It is also a fun activity for practicing visual discrimination and attention to details. For added fun, you could have them use a magnifying glass or googly eye finger pointers as they search for pictures! Depending on their preference, your students can color or circle the hidden pictures when they find them. These worksheets could be sent home for practice. If you prefer a digital option, you could use online coloring tools (e.g., Easel, Seesaw) to circle the hidden pictures.
You can individualize this activity by carefully selecting the sound that your articulation students need to practice. Have your students practice the words on the page at their current level of practice (word, phrase, or sentence). These pages work well for articulation carryover or practicing words in sentences ("I found the cat behind the bush"). Carrier phrases are included!
What’s included?
* 21 black & white articulation practice pages. There is one page for each the following sounds in all positions: M, N, P, B, T, D, K, G, F, V, S, Z, SH, CH, J, TH, L & R (including blends!). Each page has 10 words to practice (mixed initial/medial/final). Also includes pages for initial L Blends, S Blends, & R Blends.
* 4 pages with summer vocabulary (beach, insects, ocean, summer activities, summer foods, BBQ, etc) for your students who are working on language skills. Depending on their goals, these students could practice vocabulary, prepositions, answering questions, explaining absurdities (What's wrong), and expanding utterances (e.g., "I see the.....", "I found the....")!
* 2 pages with carrier phrases (I see the....., I found the...., Where is the....) for students who need visual support (with color and black & white options). These carrier phrases are great for students who are ready to practice sounds in short sentences.
* 7 page answer key for independent practice
